Job Description
- The Junior Photographer will assist the photography team in bringing the Ounass repertoire of products to life through high quality digital photography. the Junior Photographer will assist in balancing quality and productivity when photographing products on both still and live model sets for Ounass.
Functional Roles and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the styling, retouch, copy, studio operations and Logistics teams and support a diverse group of full-time and freelance team members
- Support setting up the photography sets with suitable lighting and other requirements in line with the Ounass standards and directives
- Assist in photographing product images exclusively for online use
- Maintain consistently high standards of accuracy and productivity
- Manage on set exceptions to images for timely correction and process urgent files as needed
- Execute QC (quality check), including naming, cropping, and color processing of all work before sending it to the retouch team
- Coordinate the schedule to meet daily deadlines and shot counts
- Support in continuously streamlining and refining the studio’s workflows and processes
- Participate in special projects as needed both on-site and off-site
- Share responsibility for the proper care, upkeep and maintenance of the photo studio workspace, equipment, and supplies
- Effectively communicate production notes between teams
- Serve as the liaison between the post team and the onset team for facilitating image edits & missing images
- Attend meetings as necessary as well as other duties as assigned
Education/Certification and Continued Education
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Photography or any related field
Years of Experience
- 1 – 2 years in a studio environment
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience in both on- and off-figure product photography, including apparel, accessories, jewelry, and home goods
- Balance of technical skills (camera systems, lighting equipment, Lightroom tethered capture) and creative skills (image composition, accurate product representation, model posing)
- Being flexible when switching processes
- Knowledge of commercial studio processes, workflow, and best practices
- Experience in colour correction for web purposes
- On the lookout for several sources of information to learn more about facts, trends, and how to make better decisions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent eye for detail
