Reinsurance Treaty Technical Accounts/Technician

We will count on you to be responsible for technical treaty matters:

• Own technical treaty matters from placement to accounting and settlement, ensuring correct interpretation and application of treaty wordings, limits, coverages and exclusions.

• Validate treaty terms, endorsements and final contract documentation; ensure accurate data entry into core systems to support premium invoicing and accounting.

• Review and process technical statements of account, claims advices and billings in line with team procedures and professional standards.

• Manage claims administration according to treaty wording, including assessment of coverage, application of limits/exclusions and preparation of supporting documentation for payments.

• Monitor outstanding loss reserves for inward and outward treaties and escalate technical issues where appropriate.

• Provide timely, clear responses to queries from clients, reinsurers, brokers and internal stakeholders; escalate complex matters and drive resolution.

• Produce regular regulatory and internal reports (e.g., quarterly reports) and maintain documentation to meet Guy Carpenter professional standards and audit requirements.

• Contribute to process improvements, controls and knowledge sharing to strengthen technical accounting and claims workflows.

What you need to have?

• Prior experience processing treaty technical accounts and/or claims in a reinsurance broking or reinsurance company environment.

• Solid understanding of treaty reinsurance concepts, contract wordings and claims management.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; comfortable working with financial data and reconciliations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills preferred) and confident working with data-entry/accounting systems.
