WHAT WE’LL NEED
The District Manager is responsible for the operational performance and people development of a group of restaurants within their assigned district. This role ensures consistent execution of Wingstop’s standards across all locations, delivering exceptional guest experiences, strong financial results, and full compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the District Manager plays a critical role in developing General Managers, driving restaurant-level performance, and executing company initiatives at the field level.
Leadership & People Development
- Recruit, hire, coach, and develop General Managers to build high-performing restaurant teams
- Drive accountability and performance management through regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews
- Identify and develop high-potential talent to support succession planning within the district
- Partner with General Managers to create and execute people development and staffing plans
- Provide guidance on employee relations, including corrective action, conflict resolution, and terminations
- Foster a culture of engagement, recognition, and accountability that reflects Wingstop’s values
- Ensure effective onboarding and training programs are consistently executed
Operational Excellence
- Ensure all restaurants consistently meet or exceed company standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, and safety
- Conduct regular restaurant visits to assess performance, provide coaching, and ensure brand standards are upheld
- Drive consistency by reinforcing operational processes, tools, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards
- Partner with Facilities and Operations teams to maintain restaurants to company standards
- Communicate company priorities and updates clearly and consistently to restaurant teams
Financial & Business Performance
- Drive sales growth, profitability, and cost control across all restaurants in the district
- Analyze P&L statements and key performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities
- Partner with General Managers to develop and execute action plans that improve financial performance
- Monitor and optimize labor, food costs, and operating expenses to meet company targets

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and adaptable to new systems
- Minimum of 8+ years of leadership experience in food service, retail, or restaurant operations
- At least 3+ years of multi-unit management experience overseeing multiple restaurant locations or a defined district
- Proven track record of driving sales, profitability, and operational performance
- Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management, cost controls, and business planning
- Demonstrated ability to develop General Managers and build high-performing teams
- Working knowledge of labor laws, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- High level of accountability, ownership, and results orientation
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
