Under limited supervision, the Control Systems & Security Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and security of industrial control systems/operational technologies (ICS/OT), cybersecurity assets, networks, and databases, including DCS, PLC, SCADA, and HMI environments. This position ensures the integrity, reliability, security, and regulatory compliance of critical infrastructure systems supporting power generation facilities. The incumbent provides technical guidance, performs complex problem-solving, implements cybersecurity and operational technology standards (NERC CIP, NIST), and collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to maintain continuous operation of mission-critical systems.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, industrial control systems, and peripheral equipment.
- Install, configure, maintain, and analyze cybersecurity assets, including network monitoring and threat detection/prevention systems.
- Administer, monitor, and optimize network systems, including TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF, STP, VLANs, and bridging.
- Administer and maintain relational and dimensional databases; monitor performance, backups, and logs.
- Develop and maintain scripts for system automation and administration.
- Implement security protocols, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with NERC CIP, NIST, and other applicable standards.
- Plan, test, and apply system updates, hardware/software upgrades, and patches.
- Develop, maintain, and interpret technical documentation, flowcharts, and system diagrams.
- Provide technical support and training to operations personnel and team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors on system design, installation, and problem resolution.
- Maintain inventory of systems and control equipment; ensure proper configuration and documentation.
- Follow all safety, security, and regulatory procedures, including emergency response and business continuity protocols.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Industrial Control Systems/Automation, or a related field
AND at least five (5) years of professional experience in systems administration, cybersecurity, network administration, database administration, or industrial control systems (ICS/OT) in a utility or industrial facility. Experience must include working with IT/OT infrastructure, industrial control systems, and compliance frameworks.

Nine (9) year combination of education and/or experience in systems administration, cybersecurity, network administration, database administration, or industrial control systems (ICS/OT) in a utility or industrial facility. Experience must include working with IT/OT infrastructure, industrial control systems, and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as ISC2 CISSP, ISA/IEC 62443, CompTIA Security+, Network+, CCNA/CCNP, GICSP, or vendor-specific DCS/PLC certifications
- Experience in power generation environments, water, wastewater, or chemical environment.
