Expected salary range of $161,100 to $179,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose of Position
Manage the Dry Cask Storage (DCS) Program and personnel at the assigned clean energy centers (CECs) to support, safe, reliable, and efficient dry cask storage loading activities. Implements standardization of dry cask loading processes and procedures across assigned Constellation CECs. Reinforces standards and expectations for Outage Planning Services (OP&S) personnel and other personnel who interface with OP&S to establish an error free and professional work environment. SCOPE: Works independently and mentors DCS Specialists. Implements dry cask storage program strategy as assigned and within the parameters of scope, quality, performance, schedule, and budget objectives. Manages dry cask storage campaigns and the day-to-day operation of the dry cask storage facilities. Provides leadership for dry cask storage team members and the dry cask storage program. Position requires integration of multiple functional organizations. Directly accountable for the management of site DCS programs with expenditures of approximately $20M per year.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Manage the detailed scope, quality, performance delivery, schedule adherence, and budget of DCS campaigns.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the dry cask storage facilities, ensuring assigned surveillance and maintenance activities are conducted and emergent conditions are appropriately addressed.
- Establish and obtain approval of scope, quality, performance, schedule, and budget objectives.
- Ensure appropriate work documents are developed and work activities are integrated into the plant work schedule.
- Ensure contracted services and materials required to conduct dry cask operations are available and delivered.
- Provide communication to Constellation Nuclear and CEC management for status of dry cask storage activities.
- Develop, coach, and mentor DCS Specialists and cross-functional support personnel fostering continuous improvement.
- All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) or technical discipline (e.g. chemistry, construction, computer science, mathematics, or physics) with 8 years of industry experience or 6 years of Dry Cask Storage related/ Constellation Reactor Services experience OR
- Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 8 years of industry experience or 6 years of Dry Cask Storage related/Constellation Reactor Services experience OR
- Associates degree in business or a technical discipline with 10 years of industry experience or 8 years of Dry Cask Storage related/Constellation Reactor Services experience OR
- High school diploma/GED with 12 years of industry experience or 10 years of Dry Cask Storage related/Constellation Reactor Services experience
- Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License or Certification
- MBA or financial budget experience
- Familiarity with interface with Department of Energy (DOE)
- Supervisory or managerial experience
