Job Description

In this role, you will enrich lives every day by overseeing an activities and wellness program that will meet the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents. Duties for this position will include, but are not limited to, leading and developing the Life Enrichment team in order to arrange, organize, and assist with activities both on and off campus as well as overseeing and executing a wellness plan for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care based on personal interests and skills, physician recommendations, wellness goals, and personal care requirements.
Education and Experience:
Four-year degree in a field related to Life Enrichment/event planning and 2 years of experience with senior retirement Life Enrichment Programs, or a combination of education and experience.
Recreational Therapy degree
Experience in leading/managing direct reports with the ability to develop effective, cohesive teams, and operate efficiently and optimally.

Lead a stand-up meeting each day to reinforce and foster a culture of teamwork and commitment to the Touchmark mission, values, and Gold Standards.
Possess a sincere interest and enthusiasm for the health and well-being of aging adults and have knowledge of the psychosocial perspectives of older adults.
Must possess organizational and leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to plan, direct, hire, supervise, facilitate, and assist with the Life Enrichment and Wellness Programs with integrity, empathy, and resourcefulness.
Ability to demonstrate sales and marketing skills.
Patience and tact in interacting with residents, family members, volunteers, visitors, other departments, and the general public.
Ability to adapt to the variability in the functional and cognitive levels of the aging population.
Oversee and assist in executing a wellness plan for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care based on personal interests and skills, healthcare professional recommendations, wellness goals, and personal care requirements.
Develop and execute the annual Life Enrichment and Wellness budget and strategic plan that meets the goals and expectations of the company and community. Maintain expenditures within budget and report monthly costs on provided reports/systems.
Help create an environment that feels like home to every resident. Ensure that all incoming residents’ Wellness Assessments/Personal Interest Forms are completed.
With assistance from the Life Enrichment team, Sales, Transportation, and other relevant departments, prepare and approve in advance quarterly planning for special events, outings, overnight trips, entertainment, and community outreach programs for the approval of the Executive Director.
