Are you a strategic engineering leader with a passion for operational excellence, capital execution, and team development? We are seeking a North America Engineering Manager to provide enterprise-level leadership across our North American manufacturing operations.
This highly visible leadership role is responsible for driving engineering strategy, operational performance, capital effectiveness, and organizational capability across multiple manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with deep manufacturing and engineering expertise who thrives in fast-paced, multi-site environments.
What You’ll Do
Lead Engineering Across North America
- Provide strategic direction and governance for engineering activities across manufacturing sites
- Align engineering priorities with business strategy, operational goals, and long-range planning initiatives
- Drive consistency in engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Business Teams
Build & Develop High-Performing Teams
- Lead, coach, and develop engineering talent across North America
- Establish workforce planning and staffing strategies aligned to business growth and operational needs
- Drive succession planning, leadership development, and organizational capability initiatives
- Set clear expectations and accountability standards for performance and results
Drive Capital Strategy & Financial Performance
- Lead development and execution of the North America CAPEX strategy and capital plan
- Review and approve capital expenditure requests while ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
- Partner with manufacturing leadership on budgeting, forecasting, ROI analysis, and investment planning
- Support funding strategies for emergent operational and capital needs
Advance Operational Excellence & Innovation
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Six Sigma, SPC, StableOps, automation, and data-driven manufacturing
- Expand the use of automation, analytics, and technology to improve safety, efficiency, reliability, and quality
- Identify and implement engineering and manufacturing best practices across sites
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to support long-term operational strategy
Lead Major Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Lead complex, multi-site engineering projects including expansions, consolidations, relocations, and strategic initiatives
- Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, and execution to ensure successful outcomes
- Coordinate internal and external engineering resources, vendors, and consultants
- Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget expectations
Promote Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Champion strong Environmental, Health & Safety standards and behaviors
- Ensure engineering activities comply with corporate, regulatory, and operational requirements
- Drive structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation initiatives
- Integrate quality and safety into all engineering and operational decisions
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required
- Minimum 10 years of engineering and/or plant operations leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership experience developing and mentoring engineering teams
- Strong technical background in equipment design, facilities, capital projects, and manufacturing operations
- Demonstrated financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, capital justification, and ROI analysis
- Experience managing complex, multi-site projects and capital programs
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and structured problem-solving approaches
- Effective communication, influence, and vendor management skills
- Plastics industry experience preferred

The salary range for this position is $136,700-$170,900. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
