  • Competitive salary of $129,464 - $142,665 pa plus superannuation and leave loading


About the role

The ongoing senior project officer role will support the Manager in the delivery and implementation of an agency-level Asset Management Framework and Policy, Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP), and Asset Class Asset Management Plans (AMPs) and annual attestation activities. Within the department, this role is critical to the delivery and implementation of the NSW Government’s Asset Management Policy.

 

This role is within the Department’s School Infrastructure division and is part of a new Portfolio Investment directorate. The successful candidate will be part of a new team whose work will improve asset management and service delivery and inform investments. It will work collaboratively with leaders and stakeholders across the department such as Asset Management, Public Schools, Finance as well as with external agencies. The role is responsible for producing key deliverables and will be part of a team that provides advice, guidance and assurance relating to asset performance, informed by data and best practice.

About you

  • Demonstrated project management experience to plan, manage and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Strong data analysis skills and an ability to produce insights that inform operational and strategic decision making
  • Desirable: experience within the infrastructure sector
  • Desirable: experience developing or working within asset management frameworks or an understanding of ISO55000, Asset Management methodology or similar.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

 

Essential requirements of the role

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
