Softball Umpire / Scorekeeper
Job Type: Part-Time / Seasonal
Job Location: Ramstein Air Base Outdoor Sports Fields – KMC, Germany
Requirements
The candidate shall have in minimum:
Certification through a recognized softball governing body such as the Amateur Softball Association (ASA).
Experience officiating fastpitch or slowpitch softball leagues.
Comprehensive knowledge of the ASA Softball Rule Book.
Strong situational awareness and communication skills.
Physical ability to stand, move, and make on-field calls for extended periods.
Duties
The candidate must:
Officiate softball games, enforcing all ASA rules and Air Force Intramural regulations.
Manage and record scorekeeping duties when required.
Ensure safe play, proper field setup, and adherence to sportsmanship standards.
Report player ejections, protests, or injuries to the SPM within required timeframes.
Postpone or cancel games in cases of inclement weather or unsafe conditions.
