
IN_RBIN_Assistant Manager/Manager - Commodity buyer PURx
Job Description
Understand material field (MFx) requirements & align sourcing strategies with commodity (MF1 to MF6) managers
Define and update supplier hierarchy & strategy based on value and business criticals.
Participate in sourcing decisions, provide market and supplier inputs.
Act as liaison between suppliers, supply market, and corporate functions.
Represent PT Globe to external suppliers & manage communications.
Conduct evaluations based on selection criteria and select supplier to align and define regional strategies in accordance with cost, qulaity, delivery and compliance.
Lead escalated Price negotiations, Supplier quality and delivery issues
Collaborate with product buyers, challenge cost assumptions for products & commodity
Negotiation strategies and benchmark based on the commodity indexes and cost drives Identify potential risk, assess financial and operational stability, monitor performance and implement mitigation plan
Audit - related to commercial approvals, adherence to processes & procedures
Business plan/CF Working - support for BP & CF activities
Ensure the commercial documentation and approvals as per guidelines and agreed contracts
Graduate engineer in Mechanical, Production or Metallurgy filed with preferred additional qualification of Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) having at least 12-15 years of in-depth & hands-on experience in scouting, enabling & developing suppliers (preferably in Power Tools, Automobile & home appliance ind.) Must have handled strategic sourcing from source to pay for at least 10 years. Strong negotiation & analytical skills. Strategic thinking & Foresightedness personal traits needed.
