Shift: Mon- Friday 8-4:30
Discusses patient diagnosis with physicians to ensure accurate treatment planning. Assists in the simulation process by collecting pertinent data required for treatment planning. Acquires patient data from medical imaging devices and incorporates this data into radiation treatment plans and calculations. Performs dosimetric calculations for external beam, IMRT, and brachytherapy treatment plans according to a radiation oncologist's written directives. Contours and delineates normal critical structures using imaging modalities such. Registers and fuses multi-modality image sets, including image deformation. Reviews the completeness of target and organ(s) at risk delineation with a radiation oncologist prior to treatment planning. Evaluates the accuracy of information generated from radiation treatment plans, such as isodose distribution and dose volume histograms. Assists radiation oncologists in performing HDR and brachytherapy procedures as directed. Completes and reviews patient in-vivo dosimetry and performs accurate billing for dosimetry procedures. Prepares patient treatment planning data in hard copy or digital format as requested for the release of protected health information. Assists and prepares for weekly physician chart rounds and provides supervised education experiences for students. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Knowledge of computers and networking [Preferred]
Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
• in a basic science, or a formal course in Medical Dosimetry
Work Experience:
• 1+ years radiation therapy experience [Preferred]
• 3+ years clinical medical dosimetry experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) [Required]
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
