Banquet Captain
Location: Mishawaka, IN 46545
Property: Holiday Inn Conference Center
Pay: $15 hour/plus gratuity
Position Summary:
The Banquet Captain leads banquet staff and oversees event service to ensure functions run smoothly and guests have an excellent experience.

Responsibilities:

Read and follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) accurately

Supervise and direct banquet staff during setup, service, and breakdown
-
Delegate tasks and ensure events stay on schedule

Communicate clearly with the kitchen regarding timing and service needs

Oversee room setup, service flow, and event execution

Assist with basic AV equipment setup or coordination

Handle guest requests and resolve issues professionally
Qualifications:
-
Banquet or food service experience required; leadership preferred
-
Strong communication and organization skills
-
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
-
Knowledge of event service standards and AV basics
Requirements:

Open availability (nights, weekends, holidays)
-
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
