Functions as a working Team Leader under the general direction of manager in the area of floor care.

Responsibilities
- Makes rounds and inspects all assigned nursing and non-nursing areas to ensure proper policies and procedures are being followed, standards of cleanliness are being maintained and that safe work practices are being followed at all times.
- Ensure that staff receive proper orientation, initial training, and on-going education.
- Ensure proper supply controls are followed, and staff are trained in the use of all chemicals and equipment.
- Acts as Supervisor in the absence of direct supervision or when directed by housekeeping management.
- Conduct EPIC/Rover training sessions for new and existing employees. Generate daily reports from Epic.
- Select, train, orient and evaluate staff performance. Maintain all pertinent documentation and records. Provide service to staff.
Education/Accredited Programs
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Housekeeping Project work preferred
Skills/Abilities
- Must be able to demonstrate proper use of operating all housekeeping equipment and cleaning chemicals.
- Must be able to deal comfortably with a wide range of people, i.e., physicians, nurses, other housekeepers, visitors and patients.
- Ability to apply common sense decision-making to decide on the most appropriate time or type of task needed to perform any of the assigned cleaning tasks.
- To carry out both oral and written instruction and solve problems.
- Proficient in basic computer skills & Microsoft Office applications
Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $18.25 to $27.38 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
