The Workday Systems Analyst – HCM, Financials & PSA is responsible for supporting, configuring, and optimizing Trintech’s global Workday platform across Human Capital Management (HCM), Financials (FINS), and Professional Services Automation (PSA).
This role operates within a global delivery model and supports cross-functional stakeholders across HR, Finance, Accounting, Payroll, and Professional Services. The analyst ensures system configurations align with business processes, internal controls, governance standards, and reporting requirements.
Based in India, this role requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across regions and time zones. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, functional system knowledge across multiple Workday domains, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- HCM
- Configure and support Workday modules including Core HCM, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation, Performance, Talent, and Learning.
- Maintain and enhance business process frameworks, condition rules, approvals, and security roles.
- Support organizational changes, supervisory org structures, and workforce data management.
- Financials (FINS)
- Support configuration across Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Revenue Management, Banking & Settlements, and Financial Reporting.
- Assist with ledger configuration, worktags, accounting posting rules, and financial business processes.
- Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes.
- Professional Services Automation (PSA)
- Support project setup, billing, revenue recognition, resource management, and project costing configurations.
- Maintain project worktags, costing allocations, and reporting structures.
- Partner with Services Operations and Finance to ensure accurate project financial tracking and reporting.
- Cross-Functional
- Manage configuration change requests from intake through testing and deployment in alignment with governance standards.
- Support Workday bi-annual releases across HCM, Financials, and PSA by reviewing new features, conducting regression testing, and documenting impacts.
- Troubleshoot system issues and partner with stakeholders to resolve functional and integration-related challenges.
- Data Management & Integrity
- Maintain high standards of data accuracy across HR, financial, and project data through audits and validations.
- Execute EIB uploads and support mass data updates with appropriate controls.
- Ensure data consistency across Workday modules and integrated upstream/downstream systems.
- Support compliance with internal controls, SOX (where applicable), data governance, security, and confidentiality requirements.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Build and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports and dashboards across HCM, Financials, and PSA.
- Develop calculated fields, composite reports, and matrix reports to support HR, Finance, and Services reporting needs.
- Support financial and operational reporting, including headcount, project margin, revenue, expense, and workforce analytics.
- Assist with advanced analytics initiatives, including Workday Prism Analytics (if applicable).
- Ensure reporting aligns with global data governance and financial control standards.
- Integrations & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with HR, Finance, Payroll, Accounting, and Services teams to gather requirements and deliver effective Workday solutions.
- Support integrations between Workday and third-party systems (e.g., payroll providers, banking systems, CRM, time tracking tools).
- Understand upstream/downstream data dependencies and troubleshoot integration errors.
- Create and maintain documentation for configurations, integrations, processes, and testing.
- Identify opportunities to streamline system processes, improve automation, and reduce manual effort.
- Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support enterprise system projects, enhancements, and optimization initiatives.
- Participate in system design discussions for new functionality or module expansion.
- Contribute to roadmap planning for Workday enhancements across HCM, Financials, and PSA.
- Promote best practices in system governance, documentation, and change management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Bachelor’s degree required (Human Resources, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred).
- 3–6 years of Workday experience with exposure to HCM and either Financials or PSA (experience across all three strongly preferred).
- Experience supporting cross-functional enterprise systems in a global environment preferred.
- Workday certifications (HCM, Financials, or PSA) desirable but not required.
- Experience in a SaaS, professional services, or global corporate environment is a plus.
