  Closing date: 11:59pm AEST 9 June 2026 Status: Permanent fulltime position (35 hours per week) Salary: $81,802.04 - $94,072.35 per annum + 12% superannuation                 Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Customer Service team is seeking a Customer Service Officer for a permanent full-time position.  Purpose: The customer service officer role is responsible for managing phone calls, logging customer requests, answering customer enquiries as well as maintaining various customer databases.   About the role: Provide quality service by resolving enquiries and requests from external and internal customers Receive and process Council applications, certificates, licences and permits in accordance with policies and procedures Determine applicable fees for services requested in accordance with Council’s fees and charges schedule Receive and process daily revenue, issue receipts, undertake banking and perform end of day balancing in an accurate and timely manner Lodge Customer requests in the Customer Request Management system (CRM) ensuring that information is comprehensive and clear. Keep abreast of current issues, projects and events that impact the community to ensure the provision of current and accurate information Maintain and collate daily statistical data as required   About you: A friendly, professional attitude with a focus on first point of contact resolution. Demonstrated experience within a customer service environment, including face to face counter and call centre operations Experience in cash handling Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills Competent conflict resolution, negotiation and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment under tight time constraints to achieve deadlines Demonstrated ability to use a number of windows-based software packages     Further information: View the View the position description online or contact Suzy Dalamagas, Coordinator Customer Service, on 02 9093 6884.
