Position Description:

The Chief Decision Science Research and Innovation Officer (CDSRIO) will lead the development of next-generation research methodologies that combine behavioral economics, artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and market research. This individual will be responsible for creating innovative approaches that improve the prediction, understanding, and simulation of real-world human decision-making.

 

As iMR's scientific leader, the CDSRIO will drive research innovation, advance proprietary intellectual property, support strategic client initiatives, and help establish iMR as a recognized thought leader in Decision Science and Behavioral Economics.

 

The CDSRIO will be responsible for defining and executing iMR's long-term innovation strategy, ensuring that new methodologies, technologies, and products are translated into scalable capabilities that drive client value, competitive differentiation, and business growth.

 

This role will collaborate closely with clients, researchers, statisticians, analysts, and leadership to solve complex business challenges and develop innovative research solutions.

 

This position reports directly to the President of iMarketResearch LLC.

 

Responsibilities:

Research & Methodology Innovation

  • Develop proprietary research methodologies and analytical frameworks.
  • Advance iMR's behavioral economics-based approaches and decision science capabilities.
  • Lead innovation in AI-assisted market research methodologies.
  • Advance and refine Digital Twin methodologies.
  • Develop new forecasting, simulation, and predictive modeling approaches.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve research quality and business outcomes.
  • Create and maintain a strategic innovation roadmap aligned with iMR's long-term business objectives.

 

AI & Advanced Analytics Leadership

  • Identify practical applications of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic systems, and machine learning within market research.
  • Develop frameworks for integrating AI into survey design, analysis, forecasting, and insight generation.
  • Establish best practices for AI governance, validation, and quality assurance.
  • Guide the development of AI-powered research products and services.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for iMR's Advanced Analytics capabilities and future technology initiatives.

 

Scientific Leadership

  • Serve as iMR's senior scientific authority and subject matter expert.
  • Establish methodological standards and quality control processes.
  • Review complex research designs and analytical approaches.
  • Ensure scientific rigor and methodological excellence across major client engagements.
  • Advise leadership on emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities within market research, behavioral science, and artificial intelligence.

 

Intellectual Property, Product Development & Thought Leadership

  • Expand iMR's proprietary methodologies, tools, and platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to develop patentable concepts and intellectual property.
  • Oversee the transformation of innovative concepts into scalable research products and services.
  • Create and maintain a long-term innovation roadmap.
  • Publish thought leadership content and represent iMR at conferences, webinars, and industry events.
  • Strengthen iMR's market position as a leader in Decision Science, Behavioral Economics, and AI-enabled research.

 

Client & Business Development Support

  • Participate in strategic client discussions and research consultations.
  • Present innovative methodologies and research solutions to executive-level audiences.
  • Support proposal development and solution design for high-value opportunities.
  • Partner with leadership to identify new service offerings and growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to revenue growth through innovation, thought leadership, and strategic client engagement.

 

Team Development

  • Mentor and develop researchers, statisticians, analysts, and advanced analytics professionals.
  • Build internal expertise in behavioral science, AI, and decision science.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and innovation.
  • Develop relationships with external experts, academic institutions, and research partners.
  • Help shape the future structure and capabilities of iMR's research and innovation functions.

 

Requirements:

  • PhD in Behavioral Economics, Economics, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Data Science, Marketing Science, Decision Science, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of experience developing research methodologies, analytical frameworks, innovative products, or advanced analytical solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in market research, behavioral science, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, or related disciplines.
  • Experience creating proprietary methodologies, products, frameworks, or intellectual property.
  • Experience translating innovative concepts into commercially viable solutions.
  • Strong quantitative research and analytical skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring technical professionals.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence executive-level audiences.
  • Experience presenting research findings and recommendations to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to align innovation initiatives with business strategy and organizational growth.
