The Quality Control Lead will ensure that team members follow quality assurance standards and procedures established by Nix.
Our ideal candidate will
Work independently of all other departments to maintain the quality of production
Perform routine and specific quality checks on jobs within the fabrication and E-coat business units
Document quality issues and provide solutions
Organize and document incoming and outgoing freight
Take responsibility for quality control on all subcontracted, fabrication, and E-coat work
Assist the Operations Managers and Shop Foreman with quality and continuous improvements
Assist in ISO 9001 annual certification
Minimize rework through proper quality controls and zero warranties
Contact outside inspection agencies when necessary
Be responsible for the maintenance of essential Quality Control records and files
Uphold all company quality requirements and management system
Ensure all company values are adhered to and promoted through leading-by-example and create an environment of trust and teamwork
Participate in all requested job-related training and development, as well as take an active interest in improving their skills with other training programs
Follow all company and common sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective equipment
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Desired Qualifications
Welding/Fabrication certifications (SMAW, TIG, MIG) desired but not required
Blueprint reading
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace
Strong organizational skills
