What we need:

We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of part-time permanent Administrative Professional 1 within the Division of Parks & Watercraft, headquartered at Jesse Owens State Park, assigned to Morgan County. This is a permanent part-time position budgeted for 1800 hours per fiscal year (approximately 34 hours per week).  This position will be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do...

  • Provides excellent customer service to park guests throughout their visit within the park through greeting, answering phones, and answering emails

  • Serves as the office lead worker and helps to coordinate retail staff and workflow with park management and administration

  • Works with community groups at the park level by providing information, collecting applications/permits/paperwork to host events

  • Helps to organize and assist with special events throughout the park throughout the year

     

  • Starting hourly pay of $22.59/hr. with multiple pay increases over your first 5.5 years of service, with an end salary of $26.54/hr.
  • There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the OCSEA pay range schedule & longevity rates OCSEA Employees | Department of Administrative Services.
