POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose

The Site Health & Safety Specialist will support the Site Manager to implement the agreed site operations through the management of a range of operational activity across the site ensuring that this is achieved safely, efficiently and in compliance with corporate and regional regulations.

Nature and Scope

This position will have primary responsibilities in supporting all aspects of Site level Health & Safety at Pyeongtaek and employee training.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Reporting to the site manager or other senior managers as required, and will coordinate closely with Korea EH&S team
  • Maintain compliance with national and local environment, health and safety regulations.
  • Provide EH&S guidance and compliance support to site team to ensure compliance with regulatory & company requirements.
  • Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies and clients concerning all H&S issues
  • Site level H&S risks assessment and mitigation for sustainability and risk reduction
  • Develop and implement the site-specific EH&S management system to meet the local regulation & clients request  
  • Coordinate/provide site EH&S training and maintain EH&S records
  • Conduct incident / accident investigations and develop corrective and preventative action plans to prevent reoccurrences
  • Maintain site specific EH&S KPIs
  • Assist with conducting daily/weekly/monthly/qtly safety meetings and helps maintain an active EH&S awareness program
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement in H&S performance and programs.
  • Drive improvements in organizational site H&S culture, awareness, and accountability
  • Emergency preparedness and response plan including business continuity plan (Crisis management plan)
  • Provide health and safety management program, plan and field support during TAR or Shutdown activities.

  • Continuously monitor the workplace for hazardous safety and health conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The candidate for this position must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task work in a cross-functional team environment, and have good interpersonal, communication skills.

To perform this job successfully and satisfactorily, this position requirements listed below.

Bachelor’s degrees in safety, engineering, or related technical discipline   4 to 8 years of H&S professional experience in manufacturing, Gas, Chemical industries with PSM implementation The experienced H&S specialist who has 4 to 8 years of H&S professional experience at Global/Major EPC company’s project sites(Chemical, Power or Oil& Gas plant projects) or major semiconductor fab project sites. And she or he should be ready to learn the PSM, RMP and  Gas & Chemical Operation business’ EH&S management system. Possess relevant Korea Certificate of Occupational Safety engineer   Preferred if possess relevant Korea Certificate of Environment Strong mindset in H&S Regulatory Compliance with EH&S related regulations Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills English communication capability in written and oral Possess a strong commitment to employee involvement, team building, diversity, and inclusion
