Job Description

Job Summary

The role of the Clinical Research Nurse (CRN):

 

  • Facilitates and coordinates clinical research studies as part of a multidisciplinary team with roles and responsibilities involving regulatory document processing, interactions with sponsors and Contract Research Organizations (CRO) as well as Institutional Review Boards.
  • Coordinates and oversees assigned study activities in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Performs study assessments as delegated by the Principal Investigator as well as processes and ships study specimens, dispenses and accounts for investigatory products.
  • Maintains study supplies and study file documents.
  • Reports to the System Director of Research Operations.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing - OR - Certification in specialty by recognized accrediting agency - OR - enrolled in RN to BSN or RN to MSN program with minimum 12 credits completed within previous 12 months

 

Experience

  • Prior Oncology Experience Required
  • Research Experience Preferred

 

Certification and Licensure

  • BLS Certification
  • PA Registered Nurse License
