IT Procurement Specialist
Job Description
Overview The IT Procurement Specialist supports the direct superior in developing and executing IT procurement strategies to ensure end‑to‑end (E2E) procurement activities for technology goods and services are aligned with business objectives
This role focuses on delivering value through cost optimization, effective vendor and contract management, risk mitigation, and strong procurement governance across IT hardware, software, services, and solutions
Key Responsibilities Process IT‑related purchase requisitions from business users, including hardware, software, licenses, cloud services, and IT services; conduct vendor sourcing and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis Source, evaluate, and manage IT vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with technical, commercial, and security requirements Negotiate IT contracts, pricing, licensing terms, SLAs, and commercial conditions to achieve cost savings and optimize contract value using procurement best practices Collaborate with IT, business users, vendors, and Legal during contract review, agreement execution, and renewal processes Provide regular IT procurement reports and summaries, including spend analysis, vendor performance, savings, and pipeline status Act as a key liaison between IT teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders for IT purchasing activities, new initiatives, and project‑based procurement Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, IT governance standards, licensing regulations, and audit requirements Coordinate with Procurement Governance to support periodic reporting, due diligence, SLA monitoring, and IT vendor performance evaluation Work closely with the wider procurement team to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and digital procurement enablement Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field Minimum 4 years of working experience in procurement, with strong exposure to IT procurement, technology sourcing, or IT vendor management
