Job Description
A Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is an advanced perioperative nurse who works directly with surgeons during surgical procedures. In addition to providing standard nursing care, the RNFA performs hands-on surgical assisting tasks such as managing tissue, controlling bleeding, maintaining visibility of the surgical field, and assisting with wound closure. RNFAs are highly trained, certified professionals who play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient surgeries and optimal patient outcomes.
