Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our City Services division is seeking 2 x Business Project Officers to join our team. One position will be located at Randwick Administration Building (30 Frances Street Randwick), while the other position will be located at Maroubra Depot (192-220 Storey Street, Maroubra).
Purpose:
To drive operational excellence and service delivery across City Services by providing high-quality performance reporting, data analysis, and strategic support. This role ensures transparency, compliance, and continuous improvement through effective monitoring and preparation of key documentation to support informed decision-making, optimises resource allocation, and contributes to the development of policies, contracts, and grant applications that align with organisational goals and community expectations.
About the role:
Provide clear, transparent and routine performance reporting for customer experience and general community correspondence
Support staff in provision of data and guidance in ensuring all service levels are met within agreed timeframes
Analyse data to support performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
Produce reports, correspondence, and provide informed advice to internal stakeholders
Lead the development and review of operational strategies and service review projects, ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals.
About you:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience.
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities. Proven ability to work autonomously/unsupervised and be proactive within the role.
Report, monitor and make appropriate recommendations to ensure that agreed service levels are achieved.
Research and prepare contracts, tenders and specifications for external works and service agreements to ensure effective contract management and cost efficiency.
Prepare reports and correspondence and provide advice to other Council Officers
