1. Functional Testing & Validation - 30%
Analyze and validate end-to-end business workflows across PAS, Billing, and Claims aligned to documented business requirements and acceptance criteria
Validate core insurance workflows:
Policy: Quote → Bind → Issue → Endorsement → Renewal (and basic cancellation/reinstatement where applicable)
Claims: FNOL → Adjudication → Settlement → Closure
Maintain workflow validation scenarios and expected outcomes with clear traceability to requirements
Identify gaps in requirements or acceptance criteria and raise questions early to ensure testability
Platform-Specific Testing (Guidewire, Duck Creek Suite, Insurity)
Validate user and business outcomes on one or more platforms (Guidewire PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter; Duck Creek Policy/Billing/Claims; Insurity Policy/Digital/Claims) under established testing standards
Validate configuration-driven behavior including:
Screen flows and validations
Basic business rules (eligibility, referrals, approvals)
Rating outputs for defined scenarios (premiums, fees, taxes)
Validate end-user workflow completion and integration outcomes (documents produced, activities created, billing artifacts generated)
2. Integration & Data Testing - 30%
Validate integration outcomes against expected business results by reviewing system logs/screens, outbound messages, and downstream records where accessible
Support batch/job verification by confirming scheduled jobs ran and produced expected results (files created, records updated, statuses progressed)
Perform basic data integrity validation using predefined queries/reports (record counts, key field values, status checks)
3. Defect Management - 30%
Log defects in JIRA/Azure DevOps with reproducible steps, expected vs. actual results, screenshots, test data, and environment details
Re-test fixes and perform regression validation for impacted workflows; communicate results and remaining risks
Agile & Release Support
Participate in sprint ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retrospectives) and provide accurate validation status and blockers
Support UAT by executing test cycles, documenting evidence, and assisting with issue triage
Support production release validation/hypercare activities as assigned (smoke checks, defect verification)
4. Teamwork & Collaboration - 10%
Collaborate with co-workers and supervisors to meet client needs and contribute to achievement of internal team goals.
