Job Description

Job Title: Training and Communications Coordinator

Supervisor: Executive Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range: See Pay Scale


Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Training and Communications Coordinator develops, implements, administers, coordinates, maintains, and evaluates, development of training programs for Senior TLC PACE Programs. Additionally, this position is responsible for special projects and events assigned by the ED in alignment with organizational goals. 

 

Specifications

Education: A bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Organizational Development, Education, Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or other related fields.

Experience: This position requires 5 to 8 years of management experience including training and education experience. Must be an experienced corporate trainer in health care or health care related field. PACE experience is strongly preferred. Experience developing, designing, implementing, and evaluating effective curriculum and/or training programs are strongly preferred. At least 1 years experience working with the frail elderly population. 

Number and Type of Employees Supervised (optional): None

Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM™) preferred. Valid NC driver’s license and vehicle required. 

Special Training: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact

Ages of Patients Rendered Care: 

 Neonate/Infant Early Childhood Adolescent Adult Geriatric All Age Groups

Key Responsibilities: (*denotes an age-related skill or task)

Staff Development & Training

· Assesses, plans, and structures activities designed to help team members and/or departments achieve quality performance. 

· Curriculum Design: Developing standardized educational materials and maintenance of materials, onboarding protocols, and continuous learning modules for clinical and administrative staff focused on changing knowledge, skills and attitudes.

· Compliance Tracking: Maintaining accurate records of staff training, certifications, and compliance to satisfy regulatory audits including, but not limited to, Relias.

· Needs Assessment: Collaborating with department heads to identify and prioritize staff development areas.

· Serve as the organization’s in-house training subject matter expert.

· Utilizes organizational structures and procedures to facilitate access to learning, education, and training; 

· Manages monthly, quarterly, and annual staff and participant education requirements per policies, procedures, and guidelines. Provides development and support for annual All Staff Training Days under the direction of Executive Leadership.

· Provides support for the organization’s leadership and supervisory teams’ educational, training and development initiatives; 

· Designs, develops and implements educational programs across various delivery mediums, including in-person training, e-learning modules, as well as on the job training that accompanies a concrete process for assessing, measuring, and tracking program success. 

· Provides and/or assists employees in identifying available resources to achieve continuing educational requirements if applicable. 

· Oversee the Survey of Employee Engagement processes at the STLC sites.

Communications

· Coordinates ceremonies, press conferences, and other events or special projects as requested.

· Seeks ways to engage the community in special projects and events that promote Senior TLC at PACE locations and/or in the community.

· Works in partnership with the Leadership Team to systematically promote Employee Engagement.

· Supports Senior TLC’s mission to encourage and support the quality of life of seniors wishing to continue living in the community; its vision to be the preferred provider of individualized care for seniors in the community; and its values of respect, integrity, accountability, compatible goals, and compassionate care.

· Other duties as assigned.
