Job Description

  • Administering the virtual computing environment (such as VMware vSphere)
  • Administering monitoring solutions for virtual environments
  • Patch management, managing backups and restores
  • Administering, supporting and monitoring of hardware servers, fibre optic fabrics and data storage
  • Troubleshooting of virtual environments
  • Tuning, optimizing and capacity planning
  • Recommending and implementing best practices and security standards
  • Updating the technical documentation and operating procedures
  • Implementing changes according to ICT change management procedures
  • Providing 2nd line support to other IT teams and coordinating with 3rd line of support
  • Participation in coordination and project meetings- Other specific duties aligned to profile as assigned by supervisor
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of IT experience.
  • Experience in administration of complex and large virtual environments (such as VMware vSphere or Nutanix) 
  • Experience with virtual environments’ monitoring tools (such as VMware Aria Operations)
  • Experience updating and upgrading virtual environments and related products
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
  • Experience in collaborating with multiple support groups
  • Experience with ticketing systems and ITIL based change management, configuration management and release management processes
  • Good organizational and prioritising skills
  • A proactive attitude, team-work spirit, being self-motivated with a strong user orientation
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to cope with fast changing technologies
  • Nutanix Certified Professional - Multicloud Infrastructure certificate (NCP-MCI)
  • Experience with Vmware vSAN
  • Experience with HPE SAN Storage arrays (e.g., HPE Primera)
  • Good knowdledge of English equal to B2 according to CERF levels.
