Role Purpose
- Provide Process Engineering/ Measurement support to CSCL production line to establish stable operating performance.
- Implement process and equipment improvements to achieve plant’s continuous improvement goals in cost, capacity, delivery and quality.
- Ensure a safe working environment within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
This person is expected to be plant measurement subject matter expert. His/her scope will mainly involve laser measurement, camera image analysis systems and pressure sensors etc. Major responsibility will include three parts:
- Support all measurement equipment and measurement systems.
- New measurement technology introduction:
- To be a Point of contact with US division measurements groups.
- Transfer technical documents to plant, digest technical know-how and deliver training/ technical guide to cross functional groups as necessary.
- Qualify measurement systems to meet manufacturing needs.
- Improve plant existing measurement systems:
- Foresee capability and capacity issues during new product introduction and daily operation.
- Standardize methods and procedures for measurement systems based on division’s guidelines.
- Support on-going process improvement projects through new measurement developments. Both lead and as part of project team.
- Seek cost reduction opportunity with technology improvement.
- Maintain plant measurement system reliability:
- Work with plant resource to establish PM activity for measurement systems
- Establish and monitor ongoing control system.
- Develop annual MSA plan and coordinate relevant resources to achieve MSA goal.
- Fundamental understanding of measurement system variation.
- Minimize machine down time, leverage plant resources for corrective and preventive actions.
Experiences/Education - Required
- BS in electrical control or automation or related engineering.
- Gauge/Measurement experience.
- Control/automation experience
- Work in MNC
- Project management experience
- People and team management experience
- The candidate is expected with good English skill, both written and verbal
- Good understanding of MSA from AIAG and National
- Good understanding of Quality Assurance.
- Knowledge of measurement industry technologies.
- Statistical analysis knowledge is required, for instance: hypothesis test, DOE, commonality analysis etc., MiniTab or JMP software experience.
- Measurement Institute, qualified measurement personal certificate preferred.
- Ability to interact effectively with internal groups to assure measurement system works effectively and efficiently.
- Rational thinking of troubleshooting skill, experience of KT, DMAIC etc.
- Ability to set actions and follow through with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work under certain pressure, nature of self-oriented and motivated.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office package. Including (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database management)
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Experienced in sensor technology.
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming, software data acquisition and communication.
- Experienced in any automation control system, laser or camera measurement system will be a plus.
- Ability to read both mechanical and electrical drawings, with basic AutoCAD or Solidworks skill.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes control.
- Knowledge of project management is preferred.
