Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
SHE Engineer
- Make sure EHS compliant with applicable legal requirements and corporate standards.
- Identify EHS related opportunities for continuous improvements.
- Shape and promote interdependent ESH culture to drive injury-free working plant and green operation.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Support to related departments to review their safety plan or work permit or EHS related applications, to make sure the ESH related requirements are met.
- Identify ESH related risk and improving opportunities from documents review, Gemba walk, safety audit, etc.
- Drive the corrective and improvement action be implemented by related function.
- Conduct EHS training for employees and contractors.
- Offer suggestions and solutions as EHS consultants to plant leadership and related functions.
- Coach and join EHS incidents or abnormalities investigations and drive improvements based on root-causes.
- Continue monitor EHS related changes from external and internal, and manage the changes proactively, to manage the compliance and operational risk.
- Keep learning on EHS operation data, related leading practice or D^t solutions, to offer suggestions to SHE manager and plant leadership, and lead the improvement.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Basic SHE knowledge, such as risk assessment, JSA, LOTO, etc.
- Fluent in English, both written & spoken
- Proficiency in Office Microsoft toolset (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, (Project – desired, but not required)
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Independent & flexible working attitude
Experiences/Education - Desired
- National certified safety engineer
