About the Role
The GCT Quality Control Lab team at Cherry Hill is looking for an energetic, flexible, organized, and high performing QC lab associate. This associate will have primary responsibility of routine testing for product release and process monitoring in a high throughput QC lab as well as supporting projects that partner with new product development and engineering associates to develop and optimize new test methods on the Day Shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
This role will be located at one of our facilities in Elkton, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits
- $30 - $38 per hour
- This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities
- Perform routine testing of QC and non-production (R&D support) samples following quality procedures on samples using a wide variety of instrumentation such as tensile, thermal analysis, porometry, adsorption, permeation, and wet chemistry
- Perform data collection and data entry following documented procedures in the quality system
- Troubleshoot problems and perform periodic maintenance and calibrations on QC instrumentation
- Partner with internal customers on characterization and/or validation projects
- Be flexible to support testing needs in the regional GCT QC Labs, as needed
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in science or engineering, OR a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a Quality Control Lab.
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Success working autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, and Teams) with the ability to learn more advanced systems
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to detect and minimize sources of variability in instrumentation and tests
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed written procedures
- Demonstrated ability to recommend and implement changes to existing test methods and procedures through a standardized process
- Ability to learn a variety of new tests and lab instrumentation
- Ability to set priorities in a rapidly paced environment
- Ability to apply mathematical and statistical concepts
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in a science or engineering field
- Hands-on experience working with instrumentation/techniques, such as mechanical testing, porometry, thermal analysis, adsoption, permeation, and wet chemistry
- Previous experience working with quality system, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and/or Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
