In this role, you'll:


•    You will provide strategic leadership and assurance across branch financial, commercial and procurement activities, ensuring robust governance, transparency and compliance while supporting the successful delivery of customer and community outcomes.


•    You will drive strong financial and commercial performance across a complex portfolio, leading budgeting, forecasting, cost recovery, contract governance and supplier management activities to maximise value from public investment.


•    You will partner with leaders and delivery teams to shape commercial strategies, oversee procurement and sourcing activities, and provide expert advice across the contract lifecycle to achieve value-for-money outcomes, manage risk and uphold the highest standards of probity.

About you


•    You are a strategic finance and commercial leader with experience leading teams, influencing senior stakeholders and delivering results in complex, fast-paced environments.


•    You have deep expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cost recovery and governance, and are able to provide trusted advice that supports investment decisions and organisational performance. 


•    You bring commercial acumen and experience across procurement, contract management and supplier governance, balancing risk, compliance and value-for-money outcomes. 


•    You are recognised for your ability to build capability, establish strong controls, drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.


•    You have relevant tertiary qualifications and experience leading finance and commercial functions within a large public sector or similarly regulated environment.
