At Four Seasons Hotel Nashville, the Seasonal Cook 2 plays a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences by preparing high-quality dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. This position supports the culinary team by ensuring consistency, excellence, and adherence to Four Seasons standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
What You Will Do
- Prepare and cook menu items across all kitchen stations (grill, sauté, and cold line) following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Complete mise en place and ensure stations are set up for seamless breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
- Monitor and manage proper cooking temperatures for meats, seafood, and other perishable items
- Prepare food items in advance based on forecasted business levels while minimizing waste
- Accurately scale recipes and maintain strict portion control standards
- Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, mixers, slicers, and grills
- Label, date, rotate, and properly store food items in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels, alert leadership to shortages, and assist with cost control efforts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
- Work collaboratively and professionally with kitchen team members and leadership
What You Bring
- High school diploma, culinary school education, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen
- Intermediate culinary knowledge, including cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Strong knife skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment
