SUMMARY East Stroudsburg University (ESU) invites applications for a dynamic, forward-thinking, and engaged Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS, with responsibilities as Clinic Director of the ESU Speech and Hearing Center. This is a 12-month faculty appointment beginning August 2026. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise graduate clinicians, and provide leadership and administration for the ESU Speech and Hearing Center. The Department offers undergraduate and graduate programs leading to a BS in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and an MS in Speech-Language Pathology. The graduate program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Through face-to-face instruction and on-campus and external clinical experiences, students develop the knowledge and skills necessary for professional practice in speech-language pathology. Located in the scenic Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU offers proximity to New York City and Philadelphia and access to extensive recreational, cultural, and professional opportunities. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES · Teaching and clinical supervision · Teach assigned undergraduate and graduate courses within the SLHS curriculum · Provide evidence-based instruction aligned with ASHA standards, departmental policies, and University expectations · Supervise graduate clinicians in the ESU Speech and Hearing Center and external placements to support attainment of direct contact hours and graduate-level clinical competencies · Teach and oversee advance clinical practicum coursework across fall, spring, and summer semesters · Maintain regular office hours and provide academic support to students · Participate in assessment of courses, student learning, and program outcomes · Incorporate student service-learning opportunities where appropriate · Serve as clinical director of the ESU Speech and Hearing Center · Oversee daily operations, clinical programming, and supervision standards of the Center · Ensure compliance with ASHA< CAA accreditation requirements, and KASA standards · Coordinate clinical education experiences and maintain appropriate documentation · Participate in accreditation reviews, reports, and site visits related to clinical education · Participate in annual systematic assessment of undergraduate and graduate programs · Analyze assessment data and make recommendations for curriculum and programmatic revisions · Advise undergraduate and graduate students · Guide and counsel students regarding academic progression and professional development · Monitor and track student completion of progression and clinical requirements · Serve on departmental, college, and governance activities · Participate in faculty meetings · Mentor adjunct faculty as assigned · Engage in scholarly activity and research in areas of expertise Performs related work as required Template
