Job Title: Receiving Coordinator
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
Summary
Federal Equipment Company has an opportunity for a Receiving Coordinator based in our Cincinnati Fairfield, OH facility. In this role, you will play a key role to ensure the efficient and accurate receipt of all packages and parts necessary for the manufacturing and industrial parts of the Federal Equipment Company business. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and be able to develop binding relationships across all functional areas within the organization, as well as with customers and vendors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and record all incoming shipments, including small packages and large parts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliveries.
Perform quality inspections on received items to ensure they meet the company's standards and specifications. Document any discrepancies or damages and coordinate with relevant departments for resolution.
Maintain accurate inventory records of received items, including quantities, locations, and storage conditions.
Utilize inventory management software to track and update inventory levels in real-time.
Collaborate with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to coordinate the timely delivery of received items to the appropriate departments.
Communicate effectively with suppliers and shipping carriers to resolve any issues related to deliveries.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling and storing received items, including hazardous materials and oversized packages.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations related to workplace safety.
Prepare and maintain receiving documentation, such as packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving reports.
Keep accurate records of received items for audit and reference purposes.
Identify opportunities for process improvement in the receiving and inventory management workflows.
Implement efficiency-enhancing measures to streamline operations and reduce lead times.
Provide training and guidance to warehouse personnel on proper receiving procedures, safety protocols, and use of equipment.
Ensure team members are knowledgeable and compliant with company policies and procedures.
Complete all other duties assigned to you by your manager
General housekeeping to assure work area is clean and organized utilizing the 5 ‘s standards.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Knowledge of manufacturing performance indicators such as productivity, utilization, and efficiency.
Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with employees.
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
This position includes access or potential access to export-controlled data. Therefore, you will need to qualify as a U.S. Person, which is defined as a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. Permanent Resident or a political asylee in compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Acceptable proof of this status includes a US Passport, Permanent Resident Card, US birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate. Maintenance, including renewal, of licensing authorization is a condition of employment. Government authorization may be a suitable alternative after review on a case-by-case basis.
