Director, Bridges & Structures

SUMMARY: The person in this position personally supervises and participates in bridge-maintenance and gang-work activities. This person works with and through region-level maintenance-of-way (MoW) leaders to develop region-specific plans for managing the construction and maintenance of bridges, culverts, and other track-related structures; provides guidance on the condition of existing structures; develops consolidated, prioritized maintenance plans; and develops construction budget estimates as well as detailed construction estimates. This person also coordinates the use of outside contractors, as required, on a project-by-project basis to ensure the best safety, quality, and cost performance.
