Job Description
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Strategic Pricing Manager who will be a key support to the Finance Department in either our Virginia Beach, VA or Huntsville, AL location.
- The Strategic Pricing Manager serves as a key driver of competitive positioning and profitable growth, leading pricing strategy across captures, strategic proposals, and product offerings.
- This role partners closely with Business Development, Operations, Contracts, and Finance to shape win strategies, optimize margins, and ensure compliant, compelling pricing solutions.
- Develop pricing strategies aligned with capture objectives, customer expectations, and competitive positioning for products, production and strategic efforts.
- Lead price-to-win (PTW) analyses, competitive assessments, and scenario modeling for products, production and strategic efforts.
- Provide pricing guidance during early capture phases to influence solution design and win strategy.
- Own the development of the pricing model creation in accordance with the RFP and strategic objectives.
- Ensure the pricing model is compliant with applicable regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS) and solicitation requirements.
- Build and review detailed cost models including labor, indirect rates, ODCs, subcontractor inputs, and fee structures.
- Coordinate with Contracts on compliance, terms, and conditions impacting pricing.
- Work with Project Controls on forward pricing rates, budgeting assumptions, milestone schedules and cost realism.
- Conduct profitability analysis, margin optimization, and risk assessments.
- Analyze historical data, competitor trends, and market benchmarks to inform pricing decisions.
- Support the maintenance of pricing policies, tools, and standard methodologies.
- Lead pricing reviews and executive briefings, as required.
- Support continuous improvement in pricing processes, automation, and data utilization.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field and at least 7 years of related experience.
- Must have at least 7 years of experience in government contracting pricing with an emphasis on production pricing and firm fixed price proposals.
- Must have strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government cost principles.
- Must have experience leading pricing efforts on proposals of varying size and complexity.
- Must have advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with pricing tools (e.g., ProPricer, Excel-based models, or similar platforms) preferred.
- Background supporting government and commercial pricing efforts preferred.

Pay Range: $140,000 - $160,000 per year
