Position Summary
Holy Family Catholic School seeks a responsible, energetic, and nurturing educator to serve as a multi-subject classroom teacher for Reading, Science, and Religion in Grades 3rd�5th. The teacher will work under the general supervision of the principal to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through the implementation of Archdiocesan-approved curriculum. Responsibilities include documenting student progress, addressing individual educational needs, creating a safe and engaging learning environment, and maintaining effective communication with students, parents, and administration.

Work Year: August�May school year, including additional training days as required
Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate maturity, responsibility, energy, and nurturing interpersonal skills
- Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Posses a valid Texas Teaching Certification
- Successfully complete a criminal background check
- Be trained and verified in Safe Environment/Child Abuse Awareness
- Hold a current Catechist Certification or be willing to work toward certification
- Support and uphold the philosophy and mission of Catholic education
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement curriculum aligned with school goals and Archdiocesan standards
- Create a safe, engaging, and faith-filled classroom environment conducive to student learning
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials that maximize instructional time
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual student learning needs
- Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor student academic progress
- Provide individual and small-group instruction as needed
- Teach and model responsible digital citizenship
- Maintain accurate records for attendance, grades, and student performance
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school administration
- Encourage parental involvement in student learning
- Maintain classroom discipline consistent with school expectations and handbook policies
- Collaborate with faculty and staff regarding curriculum and student development
- Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities
- Administer standardized testing in accordance with school procedures
- Maintain instructional materials, supplies, and inventory records
- Perform additional duties as assigned by administration

- Knowledge of current instructional strategies and educational best practices
- Ability to differentiate instruction based on student learning styles and needs
- Understanding of curriculum planning and student assessment practices
- Knowledge of educational technology and classroom software applications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning
Additional Responsibilities
- Supervise students during non-instructional activities, including lunch, carpool, and duty assignments
- Maintain classroom order and student safety
- Support school-wide activities and events as assigned
Physical Requirements
Teachers regularly engage in the following activities:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing stairs
- Using instructional tools and classroom technology
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Sitting on chairs and classroom floors as needed
- Communicating effectively through speaking and listening
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field required
- State certification appropriate to the assignment preferred
- Prior teaching experience preferred
