Junior Sales Engineer – Weissenburg, Germany

 

Job description

 

Within our Technical Center in Weißenburg, ideally located between Nuremberg and Munich, you will support the Sales and Program teams dedicated to a premium Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This role offers broad exposure to commercial strategy, program coordination, and customer interactions within an international automotive environment.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Sales Manager in the definition and deployment of the commercial strategy for the assigned customer, including pricing strategy, innovation positioning, service offerings, and product portfolio alignment
  • Actively contributing to project and program coordination, ensuring smooth communication between internal departments and alignment with customer expectations
  • Preparing, analyzing, and maintaining sales and performance statistics, dashboards, and reports to support decision‑making
  • Assisting in the preparation and participation in customer and supplier plant visits, including meeting coordination, agendas, and follow‑up actions
  • Gaining hands‑on knowledge of OPmobility’s sales processes, tools, and governance, with a strong focus on collaboration, customer orientation, and continuous improvement

This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop a strong understanding of the automotive sales environment and to work closely with cross‑functional teams in a premium OEM context.

 

Profile

 

You are a highly motivated young graduate from a business school or university with a strong interest for Sales and/or Purchasing. As part of your studies, you have already undertaken an international curriculum (e.g., one semester or year outside your home country).

 

You are a team player who is used to collaborate with different actors. You are flexible and adaptable to a fast-moving environment. You can make decision in complex situations and pay attention to detail. You have experience in negotiations and will be able to develop key relationships with our customer base.

 

You are open minded and with a serious desire to embark on an international career. A first experience or internship in the automotive sector can be a plus, as well as a first experience in professional negotiation. You have knowledge in the Microsoft Package (Excel, PPT, Word,…)

 

Your English is fluent and another language is a plus.
