Responsibilities:

Act as Referent Assessor during internal gate reviews, providing authoritative safety assessments in high-stakes decision environments within OPmobility

Lead and influence functional safety evaluations for battery systems in compliance with ISO 26262, ensuring technical robustness and regulatory alignment

Provide strategic project leadership, steering safety activities across multiple workstreams and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities

Represent the IMS/Quality function with strong internal credibility, ensuring adherence to governance, processes, and safety standards

Challenge technical and organizational decisions where necessary, asserting independent judgement and justifying safety-critical positions with clear rationale

Drive and articulate a strong technical vision, ensuring consistent and well-founded safety direction across stakeholders

Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, balancing technical rigor with diplomacy in a complex internal environment

Ensure consistency, quality, and completeness of safety deliverables, particularly in preparation for internal and OEM-level reviews
Profile:
-
Demonstrated expertise in high-voltage battery systems and related safety mechanisms
-
Strong understanding of battery system architectures, including BMS, cell monitoring, and protection strategies
-
Proven capability in performing and reviewing safety analyses (HARA, FMEA/FMEDA, FTA)
- Ability to evaluate functional and technical safety concepts for robustness and completeness
- Experience ensuring traceability from Safety Goals to TSRs

In-depth knowledge of ISO 26262 standard

Proven experience conducting Confirmation Reviews and/or independent safety assessments

Ability to assess ASIL decomposition, allocation, and compliance

Strong understanding of safety lifecycle, safety case development, and work products

Experience with safety management processes, including change management and configuration control
