Job Description
QA Engineer Senior
Requirements
Manual Testing.
Functional testing, Smoke testing, Regression testing, Exploratory testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Experience validating end-to-end business flows from user and business perspectives.
Test Design: Ability to create test scenarios, test cases, test plans and exploratory testing charters based on requirements and user stories.
Defect Management: Experience reporting, tracking, and retesting defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
API Testing (Manual): Experience validating APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
Documentation: Ability to create and maintain QA documentation, including test cases, test results, evidence, and QA guidelines.
Basic Technical Knowledge: Understanding of client-server architecture, HTTP methods and status codes, RESTful APIs, and authentication concepts (OAuth2, tokens, headers).
Experience analyzing functional and non-functional requirements.
Experience reviewing and validating acceptance criteria before development and testing phases.
Experience working with work tracking tools and keeping task status, defects, and stories up to date.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Product Leads, Tech Leads, and developers to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria.
Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to define test scenarios, test cases, and test plans aligned with business rules.
Execute manual testing activities including functional, smoke, regression, exploratory testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Validate end-to-end business processes from both user and business perspectives.
Identify, document, track, and retest defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain and update work tracking tools with the status of tasks, test cases, defects, and user stories.
Review and validate acceptance criteria before development and testing phases.
Ensure quality and consistency by validating system behavior against expected outcomes.
Collaborate with product and QA teams to continuously improve quality standards, testing processes, and best practices.
Document QA results, test evidence, test scenarios, and guidelines.
Provide feedback on usability, consistency, and potential business gaps identified during testing.
Participate in demos, reviews, and feedback sessions to support product quality.
Collaborate with QA team members to enforce QA standards and share testing knowledge.
