Maintenance Assistant – Senior Living 📍 Spring Arbor Senior Living – Winchester, VA💲 Starting at $21.75/hr or higher based on experience Spring Arbor Senior Living of Winchester is seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the safety, appearance, and overall operation of our community. The Maintenance Assistant supports the Maintenance Director with daily maintenance needs, preventative maintenance, work orders, building upkeep, and emergency coverage as needed. Responsibilities include: Assist with preventative and routine maintenance of the building, grounds, and equipment Perform basic repairs related to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems Help ensure mechanical equipment is inspected and operating safely Maintain maintenance areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner Assist with online work orders and help complete requests in a timely manner Follow OSHA, lockout/tagout, and company safety procedures Support the community during emergencies as needed Other duties as assigned Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old Minimum of 1 year of maintenance-related experience Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC preferred Must be organized, dependable, and able to work independently Strong communication and multitasking skills Must pass criminal background screening Must follow company Drug Free Workplace policy Must pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check Preferred: Technical school diploma HVAC or related maintenance certifications If you are dependable, hands-on, and enjoy keeping a community safe and running smoothly, we would love to hear from you.
