Director of Sales, Strategic Accounts
Position Overview
The Director of Sales, Strategic Accounts is responsible for developing and expanding enterprise-level relationships with large, multi-location end users, driving national account growth and delivering integrated protective packaging solutions across fulfillment operations.
This role serves as a consultative partner to both distributors and end users, leveraging a “One Pregis” approach to deliver value-based solutions across all product categories. The ideal candidate is a proven C-level salesperson, strategic problem solver, and results-driven hunter.
Key Responsibilities
Build and manage a pipeline of enterprise accounts (>$250K opportunities)
Engage C-level decision makers to design and secure national programs
Drive $2–3MM+ in annual new business growth
Lead executive-level negotiations and ensure successful implementation through field teams and distribution partners
Develop tailored, data-driven solutions that address customer needs and create long-term competitive advantage
Own account profitability in partnership with product, sales, and operations leadership
Conduct regular business reviews and account planning to support retention and growth
Ensure alignment and transparency across internal stakeholders to drive execution and minimize channel conflict
Partner with product management to influence future product development based on customer and market insights

Qualifications
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 5+ years progressive sales experience, with proven success selling through distribution channels
Demonstrated track record closing large, multi-location accounts
Skills:
Strong C-suite engagement and value-based selling capabilities
Deep understanding of eCommerce, fulfillment, or logistics environments preferred
Ability to develop and present complex, solution-based proposals
Strong financial acumen and profitability management skills
Effective cross-functional leadership without direct authority
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
Strong project management and execution discipline
Additional Information
Reports to: Senior Director, Strategic Accounts
High collaboration with segment leaders, product teams, and field sales
Travel: 50–75%
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’ total compensation package. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $120-$145K.
