Machining Setup Technician

Due to growth, we have a need for an experienced CNC Set-up and Operator on 3 shifts in our Megrine facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Setup and operate all CNC lathes or mills

• Ability to train operators to maximize operational proficiency
• Ensure dimensions meet requirements before submitting first piece
• Make some edits to programs in milling and turning
• Recommend changes to Engineering Setup
• Work with engineering on machining enhancements and technology
• Champion progressive change, set up reduction, continuous improvement and flow line principles
• Run Labor Standards where appropriate
• Partner with Supervisor in monitoring/improving operator applied time and performance vs. labor standards
• Trouble shoot problems in CNC areas
• Achieve all time standards
• Meet all Quality Requirements and use QC equipment
• Meet and follow all safety guidelines and lead by example
• Must be able to run more than 1 job simultaneously
• Knowledge and experience with cutter selection
• Experience with High-temp alloys
• Must follow AS9100 procedures

 QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Programming and MasterCam skills a plus

 Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Cad School courses a plus
• 10 years minimum experience in machining
• 5 year minimum CNC overall experience
