Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide and lead mechanical maintenance support for RWC Manufacturing Plants. Troubleshoot equipment, make modifications and perform corrective & preventative maintenance to all equipment onsite. Identify, select and work with basic materials and participate in the installation, building and moving of equipment. Has experience and the ability to run strategic projects to completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Knowledge
Can develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
Identifies and makes modifications to improve or accommodate process, systems or equipment.
Troubleshoots system controls.
Repairs mechanical controls.
Builds complex machinery.
Technical Skills
Lays out and installs complex piping systems.
Has ability to MiG weld with other welding techniques are a plus
Welds all required materials and considers stress relief.
Prepares complex assembly layout.
Coordinates rigging tasks.
Participates in designing layout of machinery for installation.
Coordinates efforts of others in completion of machinery and equipment installation.
Installs and aligns equipment and machine components within tight tolerances.
Analytical
Suggests design improvements or modifications to drawings.
Works from verbal instructions and sketches to create designs.
Identifies patterns or trends and suggests solutions.
Supervision/Priority Setting
Completes assignments independently.
May give direction to others.
Plans/organizes projects as a project manager.
Creates and drives project timelines to completion
Judgement/Problem Solving
Solves complex problems.
Recommends corrective actions
Oral/Written Communication
Makes structured presentations to department or small groups.
Can lead group discussions and project planning meetings
Can write reports and procedures.
Use A3/RCCM process to drive problem solving for complex equipment and manufacturing processes is a plus
Teamwork/Training
Informal team leader
Serves as expert resource for others
Suggests, plans and trains
Overtime is a requirement in TPM so flexibility and support of the business is very important
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or G.E.D
Minimum 5 years industrial experience in a manufacturing setting.
Computer experience with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, MACPAC and the Internet.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of plastics mfg. equipment is a plus; e.g. extruders, payoffs/take-ups, mixers, dryers, feeder systems and other plastic coated wire processes.
Knowledge of preventative maintenance and LOTO
Receptive to Lean concepts and use of the tools for continuous improvement
Willing and able to work weekends (mostly Saturday’s)

Lifting up to 50lbs
Job requires pushing production materials and wheeled carts
Sitting - Frequently as required by the process
Standing - Frequently as required by the process
Climbing - Seldom as required by the process
Kneeling - Occasionally as required by the process
Coaching/stooping - Occasionally as required by the process
Full Use - Job requires full range of upper extremities in the manipulation of materials used in the production processes
Walking - Frequently as required by the process
Pay Transparency: Chemelex’s pay scale is based on the expected range of compensation for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $100,000 - $114,400 - Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
