Sunset Hills location.Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing a variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses and administers doses under the direction of a physician.
- Calibrates equipment. Performs diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by physician using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film.
- Measures radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers and scintillation detectors.
- Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician.
- Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Renders appropriate patient care. Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients and assist them during procedures. Performs PET and other designated research studies in accordance with necessary study procedures so that studies are completed as designed.

$70,600.00 - $109,500.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.Questions
