About the Opportunity
As part of Detroit Recovery Project's continued growth and commitment to expanding access to behavioral health services, we are excited to open our new Bingham Farms office. This location will provide outpatient therapy services in a professional and welcoming environment designed to support both clinicians and the individuals we serve.
This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team and help establish services at a new location while benefiting from the resources, support, and stability of a well-established Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC).
New hires will complete approximately 2–3 weeks of onboarding and training at our Detroit Outpatient Clinic before transitioning to the Bingham Farms office.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $65,000–$75,000 annually, based on non-discriminatory factors such as licensure level, education, clinical experience, specialized credentials, and overall qualifications.
This is a salaried-exempt position and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
What We're Looking For
Detroit Recovery Project is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Therapists to provide outpatient behavioral health services to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping others, committed to providing high-quality clinical care, and excited to be part of a growing team.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans
- Primarily provide individual outpatient therapy services, with family and group services provided as clinically appropriate
- Deliver trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed
- Coordinate referrals and assist clients in accessing community resources and supports
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation within the electronic health record
- Uphold ethical, professional, and licensing standards in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations
- Participate in required trainings and continuing education opportunities
Scheduling Expectations
To support client access to care, clinicians are expected to maintain at least one late-day/evening schedule each week. Specific schedules will be determined in partnership with leadership based on client and program needs.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
- Limited or Full Licensure in the State of Michigan required (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, TLLP, LLP, LP)
- Experience providing therapy services in a mental health, substance use disorder, or integrated healthcare setting preferred
- Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders strongly preferred
- MCBAP credentials (CAADC, CAADC-DP, or related credential) preferred but not required
- Interest in obtaining MCBAP credentials is encouraged
- Valid Michigan Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records/Electronic Health Records preferred
- Experience with NextGen EHR strongly preferred
