Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Development PNW based in the United States.
This role is responsible for leading the full lifecycle development of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the Pacific Northwest region, from early greenfield origination through Notice to Proceed for construction. You will own the coordination of complex, multi-stakeholder development efforts spanning permitting, interconnection, real estate, environmental review, and power purchase agreements. The position requires a strong balance of strategic oversight and hands-on execution, ensuring projects move efficiently through each stage of the development pipeline. You will work closely with internal engineering, finance, legal, and origination teams, as well as external partners such as utilities, landowners, regulators, and offtakers. This is a high-impact leadership role at the center of large-scale renewable energy expansion in the U.S. You will also play a key role in protecting project economics, mitigating risk, and ensuring alignment with financial and construction readiness goals. The environment is fast-moving, highly collaborative, and mission-driven, with significant visibility at the executive level.
