
Clinic Unit Educator- Emergency Center
Job Description
The Clinical Unit Educator is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational activities for the clinical and non-clinical staff of the Agency. Responsible for planning and providing orientation and training for new associates. Responsible for ongoing competency assessments for all associates. Responsible for assisting the management team in maintaining regulatory readiness. Responsible for continued compliance with CLIA regulations as they relate to the Nova Meter and CoaguChek monitoring systems. The Clinical Unit Educator provides Agency orientation for nursing students and will assist with their home care clinical experience and objectives. Responsible for assisting the management team in the oversight of compliance with infection prevention practices. Participates in policy and procedure development and review. Serves on appointed hospital committees. Responsible for the maintenance and update of associate education files and patient and family educational materials. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Education
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Experience
• One (1) year of homecare experience
License/Registration/Certifications
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina
• Valid driver's license in good standing
• CPR certification
