What’s the role?

As a summer Co-op Student in the Medical Technology department will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and support teams that are shaping the future of healthcare.  This role is ideal for students passionate about technology, healthcare, and customer-centric solutions.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Work with Customer Repair Centre (CRC) to complete basic repairs that do not require manufacturer certified training

• Assist CRC with administrative and workflow support to assist with calibrations of tools, shipping/receiving of goods, ordering of parts.

• Support the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including user manuals, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and address recurring technical challenges.

• Participate in testing and validation of new software updates or hardware configurations.

• Abide by provincial and federal employment laws.

• Assist in managing and updating digital tools, such as CRM systems, Excel files and other CRC applications

• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning activities.

• Provide administrative support for ongoing projects, including data entry, reporting, and documentation.

• Act as a liaison between the CRC team and external customers to ensure seamless communication and support.

Do you qualify?

•  Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Biomedical Engineering, Health Sciences, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Strong interest in medical technology and healthcare innovation.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with CRM tools is an asset.

• Basic understanding of digital platforms and tools (e.g., Salesforce, CRM or similar).

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Previous experience in technical support, sales, or customer service is an asset.

• Familiarity with medical devices or healthcare systems is an asset.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.  

The salary range for the below roles is $17.00 - $20.00 per hour.

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
