Unaffiliated, Level 4
8 hours per day, 52 weeks per year
Starting Annual Salary: $95,630
Position Description:
We are looking for a dynamic and organized Wayzata Kids Program Manager to oversee the operations of our nine locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in school age childcare, proven leadership skills, and a genuine commitment to providing a safe and enriching experience for children.
Wayzata Kids is a high quality childcare program part of the Wayzata Community Education program that provides childcare to students in grades K-5 before school, after-school, on days where this is no school, and in the summer. We provide a choice-based environment where children can grow, build friendships, and develop their social skills under the supervision of nurturing caregivers.
Responsibilities (see attached position description for complete list):
- The Wayzata Kids Program Manager supervises nine Site Managers, three Inclusion Specialists, and the Community Education Nurse.
- Design, supervise and maintain a safe, positive environment which meets the physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of the children in an inclusive setting.
- Develop and distribute Wayzata Kids promotions and communications to staff, parents, building admin pros and elementary principals
- Maintain accountability in all aspects of the program, complying with standards and certification guidelines.
- Recruit, hire, evaluate, supervise and dismiss program staff
- Manage staff with weekly communication and regular site visits
- Conduct regular staff meetings
- Communicate regularly with parents
- Represent Wayzata Kids on district-wide committees

*This is a year-round position that reports to the Assistant Director of Youth Programs. Hours are flexible, but most will include late afternoons in order to conduct site visits.
