Our THUNDER BAY BRANCH has an exciting opportunity for a SHOP LABOURER to join our team!
What You Will Do:
The Shop Labourer aids mechanics in our service shop while performing basic tasks. You will work with your team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:
Perform basic tasks to support service shop operations
Help maintain overall cleanliness and organization of service shop
Organize shop tools and supplies
May assist journeyman mechanics with mechanical tasks
Other duties as assigned
What We Require:
High school diploma or other high school equivalency certificate
Previous experience as a mechanic helper or related role preferred
Enrollment in post-secondary education is preferred but not required
Familiarity with basic hand tools and equipment used in a workshop is an asset
Must be able to meet the physical requirements for the role: Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, to reach with hands and arms, work at varying heights, climb stairs, and/or ladders in FGI facilities, Frequent sitting, standing, and walking inside the branch
Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
